Armagetron:Protected page

There are a few pages that will be protected from editing on the wiki. It's not because I'm a fascist, it's because previous experience tells me they should be protected. There are a number of bots wondering around defacing wikis when they come across them, and most of them only deface the front page. So I've protected the front page.

I've also protected this page to prevent evil-doers from changing it. :) From time to time I may decide for benevolent reasons to protect other pages, pages that shouldn't really be changed by random users for various reasons. I may protect pages at the request of other developers and members of the community who think they should be protected for whatever reasons. I don't think an explanation is necessary in each case, but I'll try to keep this page updated with such explanations anyway.
