Guidelines and Rules

  • Anyone can add a rule or a guideline, conflicts will be solved on forums --K-Yo 09:02, 9 December 2008 (PST)
  • Rules are dated and signed by appending --~~~~ to the actual rule --epsy 09:03, 9 December 2008 (PST)
  • A rule will never apply on past actions --epsy 09:03, 9 December 2008 (PST)
  • Don't modify any rules, add your own under it and solve any conflict under it or on the discussion page associated with this page. Do link the discussion from the rule. --epsy 05:55, 9 December 2008 (PST)
  • Should you consider a rule to be deleted, place your suggestion under it. Once deleted it should go under the "Deleted rules that do not apply anymore" section. --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)
  • One must have read the rules before signing up, playing or asking to play. --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)
  • A rule can't be discussed and changed in the middle of a match. --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)

Registering

Server

  • For each match server/match combination an admin will be chosen, based on volunteerism. --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)
  • The selected admin should be able to use config items KICK, BAN, UNBAN_IP, SUSPEND, UNSUSPEND, SILENCE, VOICE, UNSILENCE, MAX_CLIENTS, chat commands /op and /admin, and should be able to see the full output of /players (Client number, Player names, visible AND hidden Global IDs, IPs and network version, in it's two different forms, ie. number and string) --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)
  • Every player should be able to use /lock, /unlock, /invite, /uninvite and /shuffle in their full functionality. --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)
  • AUTHORITY_WHITELIST should remain empty and only authorities proven to be malicious should be put in AUTHORITY_BLACKLIST --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)
  • The administrator, if playing, should not see /team messages not intended for their team. Pink Tomatoes 15:13, 21 December 2008 (PST)

Match Start

  • Teams are formed "on the spot" i.e. you join the team you wish, players will try to avoid too uneven teams --K-Yo 09:02, 9 December 2008 (PST)
  • When doing this, everyone should go to 'spectator' and the you work from there. When your given your team, you select the team you are chosen to be on, and this will create a lot less hassle. --Lightning December 16, 2008; 4:57 Central Time.
    • "this" ? "When your given your team" ? "the team you are chosen to be on" ? 1/ Fix your English (your you're..) 2/ You are insinuating the teams to be chosen by captains, which contradicts with the first rule here --epsy 14:35, 21 December 2008 (PST)

During Match

  • If there is a conflict and no rule about it, the admin of the match has the last word, and a talk on forums about the issue (and creating a rule about it) is strongly advised --K-Yo 09:02, 9 December 2008 (PST)
  • If a player joins without being on the list, he can take any available spot, but if a registered player comes before the end of the first match they will switch after the end of the first match. If a registered player comes after the first match is over, he cannot take someone else's spot by force (or admin help) --K-Yo 09:02, 9 December 2008 (PST)
    • Proposed amendment: A player that hasn't signed up cannot join at all once the first match started. --epsy 14:58, 21 December 2008 (PST)
