Maybe we should get some screenshots to further explain these games. Roulette makes much more sense once you have seen it. The file upload is off so they would need to be served externally.
-- nemostultae (where do I set my signature?)

Try again, I think I just enabled them. I want them enabled, though. :) --Lucifer (no idea about signatures, check the MediaWiki docs

Hmm, I managed to upload a file. It's File:Dbindforweaks.png. But I'm sysop, and I've already noticed at least one thing that works differently for sysops without telling you that it's working differently. :( --Lucifer

Here is the syntax to make a thumbnail

An example DB setup

--nemos

I love this MediaWiki thing. :) --Lucifer

I'll make a short recording for each of them if youd like, then post the download somewhere and you can put a clickable "Example" thing there? Or ill get screenshots. I'll check for your reply and do it tomorow though, im goin to sleep now.

I guess that was written by TnA? Hard to tell, no name given.

Um, screenshots, please. Nobody should *have* to start up armagetron to see. You could make movies, too, and link to them using screenshots, but the movies should be mpeg or something, not armagetronad's own format. --Lucifer

It wasn't me, must have been TnA. --nemostultae

Alright ill take those screenshots shortly.

-- TiTnAsS

Ahh, how can you play with the graphics like that?

-- nemostultae

It's easy when you get 70 FPS more, and you get used to it trust me. lol

-- TiTnAsS

Luckily pictures can be updated, so if you'd like to take the same rough pictures but with better graphics, you can update them. :) I'd personally prefer no moviepack shots unless you're showing the moviepack, though. The default green grid with the cool wall is a common frame of reference for all.

--Lucifer

I'll update em when i get a server full of people who want to play these games. These will do for now though..

-- TiTnAsS

Luke, is there any reason you wiped out the Mazing section? It's completly different from inner roulette (which ive never heard of O_o) and if anything you should put a divider at the roulette section for inner roulette then leave the Mazing section in tact. Mazes are the most common grid game you see -_-..

Luci: nemo is updating the pics, he just got done taking the SS's

-- TiTnAsS

It's probably just luke making shit up, again. We need a mazing section that's not called "Inner Roulette". We can have "Inner Roulette", I don't really care (I've never heard of it either), but there needs to be a mazing section. That topic is probably big enough to deserve its own page. Lucifer 21:06, 27 October 2005 (CDT)

I agree, mazing should have it's own section. I have never heard of Inner Roulette. I will move it over (unless someone is doing it right now as I type...)

OT: Nice signature Lucifer

Remind me to put it on the policy page, but I discovered this reading wikipedia. :) Use ~~~~ to sign and you get something like Lucifer 21:16, 27 October 2005 (CDT). The wiki will substitute the currently logged-in user info, so if it's you, your name is signed. ;) Wikipedia uses it for voting, like they'll say "Council vote on this by signing your name". Neat, huh?

I'm not fooling with anything, so knock yourself out.

--Lucifer 21:16, 27 October 2005 (CDT)

Heh, hope I didn't interfere, nemo, but I had a little voice tell me "try reverting a page, see what happens", so I did. I reverted this page to a version from before Luke fooled with it, after carefully looking at the diff, of course. --Lucifer 22:20, 27 October 2005 (CDT)

Looks like I didn't know what I was doing. For future reference, the "rollback" button only switches between the last version. If you want to go further in history, you need to look at a previous version and edit it, then it will be saved as the current version. I wanted the screenshots back. ;)

--Lucifer 22:24, 27 October 2005 (CDT)

Luci, i doubt he would randomly make up a name, unless he was under some kind of assumtion that it existed.. so why not let him do it edits, then just clean em up a lil. I mean not completely wipe out the whole idea for if it does exist :P.

TiTnAsS 22:44, 27 October 2005 (CDT)

I wouldn't put it past him. :) Anyway, like I said, he can add it if he likes. You can add it if it makes you feel better. I don't really care, I just agreed that "Mazing" shouldn't be replaced by "Inner Roulette". Lucifer 22:47, 27 October 2005 (CDT)

Inner Roulette

Inner Roulette is the technical term for "Mazing". Both Outer/Inner are getting pretty detailed, so perhaps they should be split into separate pages? --Luke-Jr

Roulette is a structured game, mazing is not. Mazing needs to have its own page. You can have an inner roulette page, but please don't replace Mazing with it.

They are not the same thing. You can't roulette with yourself. nemostultae 23:40, 27 October 2005 (CDT) That's why I said "except mazing is one person and I.R. is 2+" Luke-Jr 23:40, 27 October 2005 (CDT)
