==Rules/Settings==
*Match ends after 12 rounds.
**No score/time limit.
**Four round-robin matches, so don't hold back ^^;
**Points will be awarded based on match placement. In 8-player matches, 29/21/17/14/11/9/7/4 points will be awarded to 1st-8th place. In 7-player matches, 26/19/16/13/10/8/6 points will be awarded to 1st-7th place. These values have been normalised so players are not advantaged or disadvantaged by zone size. The 16 players with the highest total after 4 matches will advance to the Semifinals. Ties will be broken using total in-match points.
*Finals are a knockout of the top 4 from each semifinal lobby.
*'''Players have to be in their server at Opening Round Time sharp for the first round.'''
**Any missing players will be replaced with a sub
**Players showing up late are not guaranteed a late entry. If a sub has taken your place and it's after Opening Round Time, you are not entitled to take "your" place back.

=General Information=
===About===
*This is the War Sumo Tournament.
*This edition will be played as a '''4v4''' tournament.
*Times and brackets are listed below.
*You will also find official settings and guidelines below.

===Rules===
*Each team is allowed only 4 players and 2 subs. This is a '''4v4''' tournament.
*Servers will be chosen and positioned on the brackets.
*Teams will be randomized then placed on the brackets.
*Team editing will be '''locked''' after the brackets are up.
*To participate, all teams are required to have a minimum of '''four''' members and a maximum of '''six'''. Any more than four will only count as substitution.
*A team can switch around their substitutions whenever they feel like it, as long as there's a maximum of 4 team members on the grid at one time.
*Each player is allowed to be signed up to only '''one''' team, but may switch teams on the day of the event, if their first team is full.
*If you have '''played''' a match with a team, you are '''NOT''' allowed to join another team as you have already locked yourself with the previous team by playing with them.
*On the day of the event, team captains are allowed to replace any of their members that do not show up.
*If a team only has 2 players, the other team's captain will then decide if the other team can play or not.
*Each team has 5 minutes after the posted time to be ready or they will be forced to forfeit. If the other team is in a match from a previous round in the tournament, they will have 8 minutes after the match to get their team ready and the match started.
*Be friendly and have fun.
*In case a tiebreaker is needed after the round robin matchups, the tied teams will each play each other once more for '''5 rounds only'''. If the teams are still tied after this, then '''point differential''' of these 5 round matches will be used. If the teams are still tied with point differential, the advancing teams will be randomly chosen from the remaining tied teams.

===Settings===

*The old WST [http://resource.armagetronad.net/display/turtle/classic/sumo-faceoff-0.0.1.aamap.xml map]
*The tournament format will depend on the number of teams signed up.
*Depending on turnout, the tournament will use either a full round robin format or a group stage leading into a final bracket.
*The final format and brackets will be posted before the tournament starts.
*First team to reach 1500 points wins a match.
*Round robin matches are played best of 1 match.
*Final bracket matches are played best 2 out of 3 matches.

==About==
*Each team consists of 2 players; this is a 2v2v2v2 tournament.
*The first team to reach 2000 points advances to the next round.
*In some stages of the tournament, the team in 2nd place at the end of the match will also advance through to the next round.
*Once you have played for a team, you are not allowed to play for another team in the same tournament.
*Team captains are allowed to find a substitute if their teammate doesn’t show.
**If the team captain doesn’t show, their partner is only able to play and find a substitute if they have provided a valid authentication at registration.
*It is important that each round begins on time; teams are allowed no longer than 5 minutes past the scheduled time to arrive and get ready. Once 5 minutes have passed, the teams will be locked and the match will begin.
**If the team captain is on time but not their partner, the captain may start playing the match alone, having the partner or a substitute join at a later point mid-game. (Make good use of the /lock and /invite commands!)
**If the partner has provided an authentication at registration and the team captain isn’t showing, the partner may start alone or invite a substitute once the 5 minutes have passed.
**If the delay is due to a previous round taking longer than scheduled, the 5 minutes start only once all of the relevant previous rounds have been finished.
*People who cause a disturbance in the tournament servers will be silenced, suspended, kicked, and/or banned at the moderators’ discretion.
*Be friendly and have fun.
