General Information

About

This is the first 1ON1 Sumo Knockout Tournament. Ideally it will be hosted every two months and in the future, be incorporated with the Kings of the Grid website. There will be the Sumo Ladder and the Sumo Tournament - combining the Sumo King and Sumo Champion.

Credits

I (Flex) would like to thank everyone for their share of work and effort put into making this happen. In a matter of days we managed to set up this tournament. Thanks to PsYkO (from SP); for helping out and being the public announcer for the tournament to the community of Armagetron. All server admins for providing a server or more. All admins & mods for being there and administrating. ct|kyle for helping out a lot with the brackets and other things, and others for assisting also. dubStep for assisting with minor things we needed doing. Also any other people who assisted with any thing, that I've forgotten to mention.

Rules

  • Sign-ups close on the 14th of August 2009.
  • Servers & players will be randomized on the 15th of August 2009.
  • All participating players MUST be authenticated in order to play! (Login in-game with the account you posted on the wiki or it will not work!)
  • Post your results on the #armagetron.tourneys IRC channel or to any of the Admins or Mods.
  • All games are best of 3 matches (the first player to win 2 matches advances to the next round).
  • Do NOT abuse admin privileges! Anyone reported to be doing so, will be banned from all future SKT/kingsofthegrid.net events.
  • Be friendly and have fun. If you prevent that for other people, we'll ensure you won't have a chance to do so again.

Settings

If you're a server administrator; read "Server Configurations" for more information on how to set up the server. This list is just for information.

  • Practically default, classic Sumo.
  • No time limits.
  • First to 600 points.
  • Highest points after 10 rounds, wins.
