Things to Know
- Western European Time (WET) is the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), but GMT is more widely used.
- GMT is the same as Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) in standard/winter time only!
- GMT is not used in the summer/daylight time and is, instead, replaced by UTC.
- UTC stays the same, so it can be used all year and is not limited to just winter time.
- Daylight saving time (DST) is also the same as European Summer Time.
