The Underdog Team Sumo Tournament will be played on Saturday June 27th, 2026. Sign ups are OPEN through Saturday June 27th, 2026 or until rosters fill. Recommended for players with TST ratings of 1900 and below. Register a team below, or sign up as a free agent on the RCL event hub.

About

• Underdog TST is a Retrocycles League community Team Sumo Tournament in classic 2v2v2v2 format.
• This event spotlights developing players — both teammates should be at or below 1900 TST rating when they sign up (RCL beginner pickup tier).
• Each team consists of 2 players.
• The first team to reach 2000 points in each zone is awarded 6 placement points. Second place receives 4 points, 3rd receives 2 points, and 4th receives 1 point.
• Placement points are tallied across round robin stages; the top 4 teams advance to a final zone.
  • Tie-break is determined by head-to-head round robin results. If that is not sufficient, the team with the highest finish across any zone (or most first place finishes) wins the tie-break.
• Once you have played for a team, you may not play for another team in the same tournament.
• Team captains may find a substitute if their teammate does not show.
  • If the team captain does not show, their partner may only play and find a substitute if they provided a valid authentication at registration.
• Rounds begin on time; teams have no longer than 5 minutes past the scheduled time to arrive and get ready. After 5 minutes, teams are locked and the match begins.
  • If the team captain is on time but not their partner, the captain may start alone and have the partner or a substitute join mid-game. (Use /lock and /invite!)
  • If the partner registered with authentication and the captain is absent, the partner may start alone or invite a substitute after 5 minutes.
  • If delay is due to a previous round running long, the 5 minute window starts once all relevant previous rounds have finished.
