Anarchic wanderers

We are evolving. Originally, the Anarchic Wanderers was merely a list of players who wanted to shadowbox fe-clan. Hence, it is not a clan. We managed one game; read about it here.

We are now at the stage of setting up THE SPOON tournament. Get involved in the discussion and promote what appeals to you.

Trying to orchastrate a game is a bit tricky... I like the idea of getting together through something like Skype so we can speak together and type if necessary, plan times and strategy even. A current plan is to practice on Z-man's SPOON fortress server, to see if we can experiment with some new launches and things...

Names are presented below, but this has changed and may change again... invite whoever... and presumably at some stage, probably on the day, we decide amoungst the players who attend...

strategy experiments

I would like to try out different launches other than the standard pencil grind where everyone grinds to centre and encounter the enemy at the impact zone roughly in the middle of the arena.

3 grind right almost immediate, 3 left, and only 2 go straight.

3 are needed to pick up enough speed. What they do depends on many factors. Perhaps they want to attack, perhaps double back and defend. But to start, play around with the option of the centre two being defence. Perhaps they split either way, create a little wall, perhaps they double back and maze to defend the zone... who knows....

Recording gameplay..

Hey what do you guys think if one of us gets a screen recorder and records some of our matches or in CVS fortress? Like I would start recording in CVS if I was middle and post to show how much pwnidge I am at mid :PPPPPPPP

But yeh..what joo guys think about recording our matches?

2020: yeah... i don't mind recording... but what's the point... we all going to look at the games and suggest new strategies... hehehe

ghableska I'm a bit confused. To record, you go to the AA Record, but where are the files saved, and what program do you use to open the recordings?

The Dude is not the kind of man that likes being tied down, so clans are a no go. Losely based teams however are fine.

The Dude also enjoys talking about him self in 3rd person, bowling, acid flashbacks and driving around.

We had a match against the SomethingSomething team today. And we lost. It's very easy to see the difference when you play games on CVS and here. The games were much tougher and intense. I hope that our team can get a strategy soon, or else......

Crazy game... stress was huge... I played ok, but didn't feel good at any time apart from keeping maz back for ages during one round; the only time I felt really useful... An interesting idea that came up was feather's Time-out, but I think we have to wait before introducing this.... I think the rules should be firm: play the best of 3 straight through... no excuses. I mean, Psyko disappeared near the end of the first game, which threw me, and then reappeared at the start of the next... if this happens... we just have to play through.... Anyhoooo -- great game, loved it... bring it on...

Yeah, the timeout thing was a bit hazy, it would be better if we had talked about it before the game took place, but oh well, better luck next time. I really think we should make the play offs a best of five, since this was a bit too short imho (quote someone: 'i finally warmed up, 2 matches too late'). Pavelo made a (debug) recording, its 4.2 megs packed, but i'm not sure if/when he's going to put them online. Good games, hope to see you in the playoffs.
