Rules for the Grand Sumo Games

  1. Players are allowed to use aliases during tournaments if afterwards they edit the Challenge Board to the tournament they were in, revealing their identity, as to keep points on one name, players have up to the following Sunday to reveal their identity before points are tallied up.
  2. Tournaments in the future will use the Rankings of the Grand Sumo Games to help determine the brackets by seeding players with high point totals, to hopefully make for a more fun and interesting tournament for everyone.
  3. Players with high point totals are more likely to get a bye than those with lesser points, similar to how seeding used to work in Ladle.
  4. Each Sumo Tournament will reward points to finishers slightly different due to some finals having 8 teams, versus some finals having 2 teams.
  5. Players under alias with no points will not be allowed to use their normal names' points to effect the brackets, they will be treated as a player with 0 points in past tournaments.
  6. For tournaments with multiple players on the same team, each player on the team will receive the same amount of points based on their teams' finish.
  7. Seeding or byes for tournaments with multiple players on the same team will be determined by the entire teams' sum of points, not one individual's points.
