What is this
This is a list of games in the collection currently hosted at https://www.armanelgtron.tk/aa/resource/games which aims to collect different game settings as files to easily RINCLUDE. Currently most of these are collected and adapted from several forum threads.
You can read what the available files do by reading them directly, they have some comments in them. Or just try it on a server or local game. Games may not work on all game versions, if this is the case it should say so in the description. For example currently Shooting or CTF only works on sty branch servers or clients (this does include sty+ct, sty+ct+ap, etc.).
How to play one of these
To play one of these on a dedicated server that supports /admin commands, be an admin and simply /admin RINCLUDE ...
To play one of these on a local game or client-hosted game, put the RINCLUDE ... bit into the Console.
If you cannot paste these into the chat or the console and/or they get cut off, increase the character limit with SPAM_MAXLEN
If you want to completely restore a server's default settings after applying one of these:
- RINCLUDE the physics reset (see below)
- INCLUDE settings_dedicated.cfg
(this method is a bit hacky but usually works, the physics reset is needed because settings_dedicated might miss stuff)
How to add your own settings
If you want your awesome settings added to the collection and don't know how, put them on the wishlist at the bottom of the page. If you do already have your settings, Nelg hosts the repository this is on.
Encouraged for this collection would be no access restriction related settings (so no tourney settings).
