The Wild West Clan was founded in April of 2008. Destiny, the founder of the clan, and founder of the [http://www.lagtest.net Wild West Forums] posted the founding of the Wild West Clan on April 1, 2008 as an April Fools joke.  However, so many people not only believed the joke, but had a positive reaction to the idea, that she, and the other founders of the clan, decided to start a clan. We are a little different than most clans in tron.  Probably because the founders of Wild West, Destiny and Manta, are a married couple, the culture of the Wild West Clan is that of one big happy family. When a bunch of us get in a teamspeak room for a fortress practice, you would think you were hanging out at a family picnic!

Anyhow, Manta left in a horrible, terrible way and Destiny went AFK. The leadership was then turned over to Johnny, Echo & CompGuyGene. The history of the Wild West and the history of Destiny and Manta's relationship are rather intertwined. Manta was a Armagetron player who started a set of Armagetron servers. He never wanted to have any forums.  Destiny was a player in another game that another player brought into the world of Tron.  Destiny at first was a terrible player and played under the nick Blonde_Driver. When she would play in Manta's servers with him, he would change the CYCLE_RUBBER 40 to try to help her stay alive. Of course, it didn't help much.  Well, it turned out that Destiny and Manta only lived about 30 miles from each other, and were about the same age.  So they started to date.  For Christmas that year, Manta gave Destiny a server which is still around today, Destiny's Treasure Island. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to try something unique.  Destiny gave Manta the Wild West forum, to support his servers, where she runs many Capture The Flag and Capture The Flag Shooting Tournaments.  There is also a thriving, very large tronic community, that is truly international in scope. The community and servers continue to grow year to year thanks to a lot of tronners :D

Johnny has held together the clan through a turbulent time and is the major liaison between Ww and the rest of the Armagetronad community and clans. Echo Rebuilt the Forums and hosts a ladle server. CompGuyGene assisted with the forums and pretty much runs almost all of our other servers as well as two ladle servers in the US and Germany.
