There are a number of things you can do, as a player, to make the game easier, more fun, or to totally thrash yourself. Here are some of them:

Double Binding is a common technique in which two keys are pressed to turn around quickly.

Are you tired of smart cam? Don't like in-cam? Wouldn't you like to have your own cam?

Use them! By default they are bound to the arrow keys.

-Digging is a skill in which a player goes directly into another players tail or a wall of the arena, goes just until they are almost out of rubber, then they turn. This makes it harder for other players to get to get through your path. When you get experienced at it, you can come up with varations that can make it nearly impossible for someone to get through.
