Practice Notes

Everyone keep an eye on this page and/or actively post to it. We should be putting discussion here that gives stuff we need to work on, stuff we're doing well, that sort of thing. It's a general reference, but should provide a guide for practices and to give players pointers during individual play or when they're just playing casual games elsewhere.

Order of Practice

Here's how I envision practice going. We're working on setting up some maps to use to do this, and I'll set up a private server to practice on.

  • Sumo warmup: 10-15 minutes (warm up on z-man's sumo server)
  • Drill: 10-15 minutes (drill weak areas, such as grinding, breaking, defending)
  • Drill: 10-15 minutes (as before, so we drill in 2 different areas each time)
  • Mock game: 10-15 minutes (pit some offense players vs a couple of defense players)
  • Game: 10-15 minutes (divide up into 2 complete fortress teams and play. If we don't have enough, find a game on a public server and take over a team)
